WHAT ARE COLD ROLLED SECTIONS (OPEN PROFILES)
Cold rolled steel profiles are formed into wanted sections on special Line by a multistage process in accordance to corespondent JUS and DIN regulations. This process is unfolding at an ambient air temperature, continuously, and therefore the length of a sections is practically unlimited. Usual manufacturing length of sections is 6000mm, but depends of demands of Customer. The quality of the entering steel strips remains unaltered in the obtained section.

SELECTION OF STEEL VARIETIES
Cold formed sections can be made of all steel varieties, which can be cold formed from mild structural low up to high alloy steels in accordance with existing EN 10025 standard for corresponding steel or by the agreement with the Customer.

MECHANICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Mechanical characteristics answer to the band steel quality from which sections, in accordance with the corresponding EN regulations, are made of. Considering this, forming of steel strip to a section, the plastic and strength limits are some increasing, whilst extension is corresponding decreasing.

LENGHTS
The manufacturing length of sections are from 4000 to 9000 mm with an allowed tolerance of -0, +30 mm. No additional ends-treatment after cutting.

DIMENSION TOLERANCES
Tolerances for section thickness are identical to the tolerances of cold rolled bands, depending from which bands the sections are manufactured. At the section's begin range small decreasing in thickness are allowed. It means as follows:

CERTIFICATES
Certificates only for base material, for mechanical characteristics and chemical composition of steel bands according to EN 10204/3.1.

PACKAGING
Packaging in bundles. Weight of one bundle is up to 3t. Every bundle is marked with label with following data: name of profile, dimensions, material, norm, weight and indication of quality insurance department.

ADVANTAGES OF COLD ROLLED SECTIONS

• they are manufactured in all possible forms and therefore they are satisfying the individual requirements of the beneficiary;
• they are manufactured in a wide dimension range, with small interior width and thickness intervals;
• they can be manufactured of all qualitative steels which can be cold formed up to stainless steels including;
• made of cold rolled bands, depending of the stage of after treatment, they can have different mechanical characteristics by the same base quality of steel;
• they have stable geometric forms and a narrower tolerance range of sides and angles;
• they have a finer surface, because of the time of hot rolling is shorter, whilst on the occasion of forming the undesirable oxide falls off; ;
• the better surface gives a more suitable base for protection coatings. They can be better welded and that by recent automatic processes;
• they can be bended, perforated, treaded etc,.easier;
• at the same dimensions, they are perceptible lighter and therefore from hot rolled sections per running meter cheaper
